Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing & Booking

  • Full productions at this studio range from $1,500 to $3,500 per song depending on scope. Mixing is $500/song and mastering is $50/song, with mastering included at no extra charge when you book production, mixing, and mastering together.

  • At the highest level, each step in the production process is performed by an individual expert in their field — a dedicated tracking engineer, specialist session players, a mixer, a mastering engineer, each of whom set and charge their own rates.

Every one of those steps is something that can be handled in-house, but in certain situations the song is best served by bringing in the best of the best for each role. Nashville has no shortage of world-class players and engineers, and that access is part of what this studio offers. That's what the top of the range reflects. The budget determines the team, not the standard.

  • Yes! Demo production is available for songwriters pitching material to publishers, labels, or recording artists. $400 for an acoustic demo, $800 for a full band demo.

  • Mastering is $50/song as a standalone service. It's included at no extra charge when you book production, mixing, and mastering on the same song.

Process & Timeline

  • Most projects are delivered within one to two weeks from the start of tracking. Pre-production and scheduling happen before that window begins. I’ll include my calendar availability and estimated delivery dates with your custom quote.

  • At minimum, a song — whether that's a finished demo, a voice memo, a chord chart, or a rough recording on your phone. The further along the song is, the more efficiently pre-production goes, but no project is too early in the process to discuss!

  • No. Many clients are fully remote and handle everything through file sharing and video calls. If you want to be in the room for tracking or vocal sessions, you're welcome — the studio is in Nashville and the city is worth the trip regardless.

  • That conversation happens before it becomes a problem. Pre-production exists specifically to align on direction before recording begins, which is why that stage doesn't get skipped. Revision rounds are there to get the details right after the fact.

  • Country and Christian music, including the country-Christian crossover space. That covers everything from traditional and contemporary country to CCM, worship, and faith-based artist projects. I have a few indie-pop and singer-songwriter productions in my catalog as well.

  • Yes! And it's a meaningful part of my work here. Worship production requires understanding not just the sonic language of the genre but the function of the music itself — how it's used in a congregational setting, how it needs to feel in a room full of people singing together. That context shapes every production decision.

  • Yes! Some of the best projects have started with a first-time artist who had a strong song and a clear sense of what they were going for. Experience level matters less than good music and seriousness of intent.

Genre & Specialty

  • Yes. Co-writing is available* for artists who want a collaborator in the room, and for projects where the song needs development before it's ready to produce. Over 15 years of writing country and Christian music in Nashville informs that work.

*Unfortunately my schedule doesn’t allow me to accept every invitation to co-write, but please reach out if you’re interested, and I’ll see what I can do!

  • Yes. If a song has potential but isn't quite there — structurally, lyrically, or melodically — that's a conversation worth having before production begins. Better to fix it early than work around it later.

  • Yes. There's an established network of Nashville session musicians available for projects that call for live instrumentation beyond piano, acoustic guitar, and bass — which are all tracked in-house.
